C-4: An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code, the Parliamentary Employment and Staff Relations Act, the Public Service Labour Relations Act and the Income Tax Act
The House of Commons previously passed Bill C-4. However, the Senate amended Bill C-4 to remove the portion that restored procedures for the certification and the revocation of certification of bargaining agents that existed before June 16, 2015. This amendment therefore leaves Bill C-525 intact.
Regarding the Senate amendment to the Bill, this motion sends the message that this House disagrees with the amendment made by the Senate to Bill C-4. We were elected with a commitment to restore fair and balanced federal labour policy, and one of the steps we are taking to help achieve this is the repeal of Bills C-377 and C-525.
